Janine Gutierrez admitted that Ogie Alcasid has volunteered to be her godfather for her wedding with rumored boyfriend, Paulo Avelino.
Gutierrez and Avelino are not officially together, but netizens speculate that the two are secretly dating because of their sweet interactions off-cam.
In Magandang Buhay‘s episode on August 22, Gutierrez was the guest celebrity where she talked about her life with the show’s hosts Regine Velasquez, Melai Cantiveros, and Jolina Magdangal.
When Regine asked Janine about the real score between Paulo and her–she said that she did not want to answer questions without the actor’s presence.
“Naku, mahirap magsalita ng wala siya. Dapat balik na lang kami na kasama siya,” Gutierrez evaded the question.
She then revealed that Velasquez’s husband, Ogie already volunteered to be their godfather.
“Ang masasabi ko lang nag-volunteer po na ninong si Sir Ogie (Alcasid). So, Ninong Ogie na siya ngayon sa amin!”
Asia’s Songbird added that she’d be their godmother, too, to which Gutierrez immediately agreed.
Relationship rumors between Janine and Paulo started with their Kapamilya series Marry Me, Marry You. The series concluded in January 2022, but the two stars chose to show undeniable chemistry even after the show wrapped up.
Meanwhile, Ogie Alcasid discussed the relationship between Gutierrez and Avelino during his interview with Push in June 2022.
