Jona Viray revealed she is a freelancer already, confessing that a show from another network has an offer for her.
On July 22, at a media conference, Viray was asked about her career in the Kapamilya Network after not appearing in the musical variety show ASAP Natin ‘To for many weeks.
“I’m still a Kapamilya, and a Kapatid, kasi obviously, lumalabas naman ako sa TV5.
“I’m very happy about the news na ‘yong mga programs ng ABS-CBN, pinalalabas na rin sa TV5, so nagmi-merge na rin talaga. Parang nawawala ang boundaries. Doon ako natutuwa,” she said.
Viray shared she is a freelance artist under the management of her long-time manager, Arlene Meyer.
“Right now ang standing ko, freelance ako. I can appear in any show kung may kumukuha sa akin. Binalita ng mommager ko na sa other network, merong nag-iinquire for me to be the host of a musical show.
“Nawawala na yong boundary, nwawawala na yong pressure of being stuck because of network wars.”
Viray stated that someone from the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga inquired about her.
“Nag-inquire daw ang Eat Bulaga if I can join them doon sa out-of-town show nila,” Viray said.
Viray was the first grand winner of Kapuso Network’s Pinoy Pop Superstar (2005). In 2016, she transferred to the Kapamilya Network.
