On August 20, Kapuso star Rochelle Pangilinan and Arra San Agustin talked about the high ratings of Lolong.
At a media conference in Davao with the press, including LionhearTV, Pangilinan expressed appreciation for the warm reception for the Kapuso action-adventure series while recalling the crocodile statue that paraded all-over Metro Manila.
“Umiikot si Dakila sa buong Metro Manila hanggang mamaya, may gagala na nakalabas ‘yung abs na hindi pwedeng hawakan. Daks spotted, baka mamaya si Ruru na talaga ‘yun. Pero, thankful po talaga kami.”
San Agustin attributed the show’s success to their team’s hardwork.
“Nakaka-proud at tsaka, ako habang ginagawa pa lang namin ‘yung Lolong, hindi naman po sa pagmamayabang pero, confident na po ako, kasi nakita ko po kung gaano ka-hardworking ang bawat isa, lalo na po ‘yung bosses namin.
“From the director, ‘yung mga crew, lahat po ng mga artista po, ibang klase po sila, at pinaghirapan po nila. Kaya bago pa lang po matapos na ‘yung show, confident na po ako na ganon. Tatanggapin ‘to ng mga tao.”
Lolong maintains the top spot for the movie viewed TV show in the country with 17.3% ratings.
Ruru Madrid stars in the Kapuso action-adventure series, Lolong. The action-packed primetime teleserye also includes a powerhouse cast with Shaira Diaz, Arra San Agustin, Christopher de Leon, Jean Garcia, Bembol Roco, Malou de Guzman, Rochelle Pangilinan, Paul Salas, Marco Alcaraz, Mikoy Morales, and Maui Taylor.
Their newest arc introduced new characters through Vin Abrenica, Thea Tolentino, Alma Concepcion, Rafael Rosell, and Lucho Ayala.
