With only a week before its “pambansang pagtatapos”–is FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano bound for its ultimate finale or will it be an open-ended finale that will signal another season someday?
We have heard that the Kapamilya longest-running teleserye has yet to finish its taping for the finale episode.
Based on the social media posts circulating we’ve seen, FPJAP is still shooting its final scenes in Ilocos despite the aftershocks following the magnitude 7 earthquake that shook the Northern Luzon region.
Meanwhile, Coco Martin in his latest promo “pasasalamat” video aired during the commercial gap on Friday, August 5, hinted that Ang Probinsyano might come back in not-so-distant future.
“Sana po ay magkasama-sama tayong muli,” he said.
Meanwhile, after almost seven years on air, FPJAP’s loyal viewers find it hard to let go of their everyday primetime habit.
Evident was the last night’s (Friday, August 5) episode where it again sets new all-time high concurrent views reaching more than 367,000 live viewers.
That was just a day after it set its previous all-time high of 360,851 on Thursday, August 4.
In terms of TV ratings, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is also fighting a good fight given its limited reach with A2Z and TV5.
On Monday, August 1, FPJAP registered a total combined rating of 12.9% vs Lolong‘s 15.4%. On Tuesday, although FPJAP‘s rating slightly dived to 12.3% it’s still in good standing versus Lolong’s 15.7%.
