As its culmination nears, “Jeepney TV Fan Favorite Awards” has finally named the iconic Kapamilya series vying for the “Fave Teleserye” recognition, including the original and remake of “Mara Clara” and “Pangako Sa’Yo,” “Be Careful With My Heart,” and the recently concluded “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
The “Fave Teleserye” award will be given to three beloved shows that each reigned during the decade in which it aired. Nominees for “Fave Teleserye” from 1992-2001 are the iconic and long-running programs “Esperanza,” the original “Mara Clara,” “Marinella,” the original “Mula Sa Puso,” and “Saan Ka Man Naroroon.”
Some series that aired from 2002-2011 namely “100 Days to Heaven,” “It Might Be You,” “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay,” “Lobo,” Maging Sino Ka Man,” “Magkaribal,” the remake of “Mara Clara,” “May Bukas Pa,” the original “Pangako Sa’Yo,” and “Tayong Dalawa” are grouped for another “Fave Teleserye” honor.
The remarkable ABS-CBN shows that ran from 2012-2021 such as “Be Careful with My Heart,” “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “Forevermore,” “Got to Believe,” “Halik,” “Ina Kapatid Anak,” “Kadenang Ginto,” “On the Wings of Love,” the remake of “Pangako Sa’Yo,” “Princess and I,” “Pusong Ligaw,” “The Greatest Love,” “The Legal Wife,” “Tubig at Langis,” “Walang Hanggan,” and “Wildflower” will also go head-to-head for “Fave Teleserye.”
Meanwhile, “Jeepney TV Fan Favorite Awards” will also honor fans’ pick on their “Fave Youth-Oriented Show,” “Fave Fantaserye,” and “Fave Anthology/Weekly Drama.”
Coming-of-age shows that accompanied and comforted viewers to adulthood “Ang TV,” “G-Mik,” “Gimik,” “Growing Up,” “Luv U,” and “Tabing Ilog” are contenders for “Fave Youth-Oriented Show” while shows that opened viewers’ imagination to magical worlds like “Agua Bendita,” “Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko,” “Kokey,” “La Luna Sangre,” “Marina,” “My Little Juan,” and “Super Inggo” are nominated for “Fave Fantaserye.”
Lastly, one among “Ang Munting Paraiso,” “Familia Zaragoza,” “Ipaglaban Mo,” “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” “Oka Tokat,” “Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako,” “Star Drama Theatre Presents,” “The Maricel Drama Special,” and “Wansapanataym”—programs that brought forth numerous gripping and inspirational stories—is set to be named as “Fave Anthology/Weekly Drama.”
Voting for “Fave Teleserye,” “Fave Youth-Oriented Show,” “Fave Fantaserye,” and “Fave Anthology/Weekly Drama” on JoinNow, Jeepney TV Fans Facebook group, and TikTok is until September 24 (Saturday). Voting on TikTok for “Fave Kapamilya Serye Iconic Lines,” “Fave Kontrabida,” and “All-Time Favorite Loveteam,” ends on October 8 (Saturday). The winners will be named in a virtual awarding ceremony on October 22.
