Tanya Bautista expressed she feels pain over her husband Vhong Navarro’s rape case being revived.
On September 21, Bautista faced the media by giving an update regarding Navarro.
After eight years, Bautista admitted she was broken over the unexpected twist concerning the case.
It was the longest two days of our lives. I was referring to the back-to-back warrants of arrest.
“I fear for his safety doon,” she said.
Bautista shared she was concerned with the other party’s request of transferring Navarro to Taguig City Jail.
Bautista was asked to describe her present situation.
“I would describe it as rollercoaster. It was reversed.
“This time iba ang yung bagsak ng mga balita. You were being attacked na hindi ka prepared. Wala kang weapon, wala kang gear to protect yourself. Parang ganun ang pakieramdam ko,” she added.
Navarro is currently detained at a detention facility in the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) following the non-bailable rape complaint filed against him by Deniece Cornejo.
On September 5, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Cornejo’s legal counsel, said that his client is determined to push through the rape case.
“Well, I do not know, but as of now, based on my latest conversation with her over the phone, she’s determined to see this thing through.
“She’s okay. She’s in good spirits. Sabi niya, she has placed her faith in the Lord and the Lord has delivered her and vindicated her.
