Willie Revillame and Toni Gonzaga headlined the soft launch of ALLTV on Channel 2 on September 13.
ALLTV is Manny Villar’s Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) channel.
In a report by PEP on September 13, the soft launch started with a 13-minute long production number by Ella Cruz, Mannex Manhattan, DJ Loonyo, and other dancers.
The soft launch streamed live at Palazzo Verde, Las Piñas City.
Willie Revillame and Toni Gonzaga were the main hosts. They got stationed at the rooftop helipad of Wil Tower in Quezon City.
“Sobrang saya ko rin na muling makasama si Kuya Wil. Ang tagal Kuya Wil ng huli nating pagsasama, ngayon na lang uli. Na-miss kita,” said Gonzaga.
Revillame replied, “Ako rin. Para malaman nyo lang ho, ako, siya, at si Mariel ang original mga host ng Pinoy…. pero Channel 2 pa rin yun.”
Gonzaga then said that all Filipinos should unite ind help one another; and be an inspiration for others.
“Pero naisip ko, tayong mga Pilipino, pare-pareho tayong mga Pilipino. Dapat tayong nagmamahalan, nagkakaisa, nagtutulungan para makapagbigay ng serbisyo sa taumbayan.
“Hindi lang serbisyo ng pamimigay ng pera, ng kasiyahan, ng kabuhayan showcase. Pamimigay ng inspirasyon, pag-asa, at masayang bukas para sa lahat ng mga nanonood.”
In line with ALLTV’s soft launch, it also coincided with President Bongbong Marcos Jr’s birthday on the same day.
“Birthday ng ating mahal na Pangulo. Birthday ng bagong Channel 2… ibig sabihin, hindi lang ito ang tahanan ninyo. Kami, kakatok din sa mga tahanan ninyo, araw-araw.
“Starting tomorrow, September 14, 3:30 p.m. tayo magsisimula. Ang ating mga back-to-back teleserye, mga Koreanovela, abangan niyo po ‘yan.”
On Twitter, netizens had mixed reactions to the launch of ALLTV. Some were ecstatic with the launch, while some criticized the channel as exclusive only for BBM supporters.
