At the media conference for Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters, including LionhearTV, on October 14, Kapuso actress Aiko Melendez admitted that she wants to get married before turning 50 years of age.
Melendez stressed that the marriage proposal should come from her beau, Zambales Congressman Jay Khonghun.
“Kasi hindi sa akin dapat nanggagaling ‘yan kasi babae pa rin naman ako. So dapat sa kaniya.
“Siyempre gusto ko pa rin magpakasal, pero siyempre, ayaw ko naman umabot ng fifty years old, naka-gown pa rin ako. Parang time is ticking naman na di ba?”
She talked about Khonghun’s closeness with her kids.
“Gusto ko rin naman na makahanap, nahanap ko na rin naman sa kaniya ‘yung gusto ko makasama, kasundo siya ng anak ko, so winner na din. Blessed na rin naman ako sa lahat ng aspeto ng buhay ko.”
She also detailed how involved her beau is with her children’s lives.
“Ay oo, close sila kay Jay eh, sobrang close nila kay Cong. Jay. And si Cong Jay ata ang nakarelasyon ko na nalalapitan nila in terms of pag may problema, lalo na si Martina, 16, so mayroon silang time na sila lang ‘yung magkasama, nag-uusap sila, si Andre naman, mayroon silang boytalk. In fact, gumimik sila ng hindi ako kasama, sila lang, they’re very close. So wala akong problema pagdating sa bagay na ‘yun.”
Melendez stars in the Kapuso series Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters with Beauty Gonzalez, Angel Guardian, and Thea Tolentino.
The series also has a powerhouse Kapuso cast with Mikee Quintos, Paul Salas, Isabel Rivas, Bodjie Pascua, Johnny Revilla, Tanya Garcia, Sue Prado, Rafael Rosell, Marcus Madrigal, Miggs Cuaderno, Will Ashley, Carlo San Juan, Dustin Yu, Kimson Tan, Reins Mika, Sandro Muhlach, Yvette Sanchez, Sophia Senoron, Larkin Castor, and Cheska Fausto.
Through the direction of Ian Loreños and the creative mind of Jose Javier Reyes as writer, Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters premieres on GMA Network on October 31.
