Kapuso executive Joey Abacan expressed his excitement over the third installment to the Mano Po Legacy in a media conference on October 14.
He wanted to continue making installments for the series.
Reyes mentioned that he’s blessed to have the COO and vice president of Regal Entertainment Roselle Monteverde as his partner and executive producer for the series.
He added that he planned this partnership with Monteverde for a long time, and they ended up producing multiple installments for the Mano Po Legacy together.
“I am very happy, nandito pa rin tayo Roselle. I hope to have more Mano Pos with you,” Abacan told Monteverde.
The comment got perceived in a seemingly nervous response from Monteverde, clarifying whether this was the final installment to the series.
“Hindi ba last ‘to? Ayan, sasabihin ko sana last Mano Po,” she remarked.
Abacan told Monteverde that the public might just believe her, “Hindi no… Marami pa. Baka maniwala [sila].
After their banter, Monteverde explained that this installment would include three family generations that requires a bigger installment than its predecessors. Monteverde added that she got excited to show the personalities with each generation.
“It’s so realistic, and so relatable na it can happen to any family… we always try to have a perfect family, and this is what Mano Po is all about,” said Monteverde.
At the end of the conference, Abacan asked for everyone to support and continue to help the Mano Po Legacy. He added that with the partnership with Regal, he thought the said GMA series would have more installments in the future.
Though unclear whether the exchange during the media conference was purely in jest [still] the Mano Po Legacy will continue with a brand-new batch of stars.
