Several netizens and social media personalities took to Twitter to lambast Mamasapano producer and die-hard Marcos supporter Atty. Ferdie Topacio over his guilt-tripping tweet.
Eh yung mga camera men, best boys, grips, gaffers, makeup artists, et al. di ninyo inisip? Ulalo.”
Apparently, after the release of the unofficial box office ranking, Topacio’s film Mamasapano lagged with an estimated opening day ticket sales of less than 500 thousand pesos.
Following his guilt-tripping tweet, netizens can’t help but bring up the issue of ABS-CBN’s franchise denial, which Topacio gladly celebrated.
In a tweet, @altkapamilyach said Topacio deserves every inch of what’s happening to his film, adding he also did not think of the many Kapamilya employees who lost their jobs when he pushed for the rejection of the ABS-CBN franchise.
BACK TO YOU, BOY GASULITO!!DAZEEERB MO YAN.”

Kapamilya host-comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz also reacted, saying Topacio must be suffering from amnesia, forgetting how he joyfully celebrated the rejection of the ABS-CBN franchise, which cost thousands of jobs.

Netizens @TitaLongG, @itsY0L0, @dumidyeypee, and @Mischa971 all shared the same sentiment, asking Topacio if he also considered the jobs of Kapamilya cameramen, crew, and other employees when he jumped for joy after learning that Congress rejected the ABS-CBN franchise renewal application.

Now, back to you. Don’t watch this movie produced by Sexy Topacio!”

Social media personalities @pads_nosi and @ricci_richy, meanwhile, questioned Topacio’s appeal to the emotions of moviegoers for his crew when, in fact, they should have already been paid prior to the release of the film.
“Bakit?

Also, Topakcio was one of those who celebrated the revocation of ABS-CBN’s franchise.
