GMA Network continues to dominate the TV rating chart in 2023.
Based on the latest rating report from Nielsen NUTAM People Survey from January 2 to January 6, Kapuso shows occupy the number one to seven spots in the rating leaderboard.
Still in the lead, GMA Network’s flagship newscast, 24 Oras, scored 16.3%, 19.4%, 16.2%, 19.7%, and 15.9% from Monday to Friday, respectively.
The country’s number-one drama series, Maria Clara at Ibarra (MCAI) follows suit. MCAI remained the number two overall program in the country with a rating of 12.6%, 13.2%, 12.7%, 14.2%, and 13.2% from January 2 to January 6, respectively.
Taking the overall third spot is the Kapuso family game show, Family Feud. The Dingdong Dantes-hosted game show registered a rating of 10.4%, 12.9%, 11.4%, 11.8%, and 11.1% for the January 2 to January 6 survey period.
Meanwhile, the fourth spot is occupied by the leading afternoon drama Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (ABKNP). It started the first week of 2023 with a rating of 9.1%, 9.7%, 8.6%, 10.3%, and 8.6%.
The fifth and sixth spots are a toss-up between Unica Hija and Nakarehas Na Puso.
Unica Hija started the year on Monday, January 2, at number 6 with a rating of 8.2%, while Nakarehas Na Puso took the number 5 spot with a rating of 8.9%. On January 3, Tuesday, the two Kapuso afternoon dramas exchanged places, with Unica Hija moving up to the fifth spot with 9.3% and Nakarehas Na Puso sliding to number six with 8.7%.
The two retained their ranking on Wednesday, January 4, with Unica Hija scoring 8.5% and Nakarehas Na Puso scoring 8.4%. On Thursday, January 5, both remained the same, with Unica Hija in the fifth spot and Nakarehas Na Puso in the sixth, with ratings of 10.3% and 9.8%, respectively. Unica Hija and Nakarehas Na Puso ended their first week of 2023 on the same leaderboard ranking with ratings of 8.5% and 8.4%, respectively.
The seventh spot was taken by Mano Po Legacy: Flower Sisters except on Tuesday, January 3, where it placed eighth with a 7.4% rating, and ABS-CBN’s Darna occupied the number seven spot with a rating of 7.5%. Mano Po Legacy registered a rating of 7.5%, 7.4%, 7.5%, 8.2%, and 7.6% for the first week of 2023.
