An existing overall number one program and a new leader among entertainment programs in the country—that’s the current status of TV rating leadership in Philippine TV.
According to the latest rating report from the Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, ’24 Oras’ remained the country’s overall number 1 program, while ABS-CBN’s newest action-drama teleserye, FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’ (FPJBQ), is now the new leader in the entertainment category.
On Monday, February 13, ’24 Oras’ scored a rating of 14.8 percent to top the overall rating leaderboard.
On the following day, Tuesday, February 14, the Kapuso primetime newscast retained its number 1 position on the leaderboard but dropped by 0.3 percent to 14.5 percent.
On Wednesday, February 15, ’24 Oras’ bounced back with an increase of 0.8 percent to 15.3 percent.
FPJBQ, on the other hand, landed in the third spot with 12.5 percent during its pilot on Monday, February 13.
However, just a day after its pilot, on Tuesday, February 14, the Coco Martin-starrer action-drama series quickly jumped to the overall number 2 spot and the number 1 entertainment program, bumping off longtime leader ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ (MCAI) with a rating of 12.2 percent vs. 11.1 percent, respectively.
On Wednesday, February 15, FPJBQ maintained its leadership, with its rating climbing further up to 13.8 percent, beating MCAI by 1.3 percent at 12.5.
Can FPJBQ maintain its leaderboard position or will MCAI take back its old position?
