Sam Milby refused to comment regarding ABS-CBN talents boycotting Toni Gonzaga’s ALLTV program Toni.
On February 7, Milby had a press conference about his upcoming movie with Judy Ann Santos–The Diary of Mrs. Winters.
Milbey answered questions regarding Gonzaga’s ALLTV talk show.
When asked about the rumors that ABS-CBN stars are boycotting Toni Gonzaga’s talk show–he was reluctant to share his thoughts.
He mentioned his love for Gonzaga and his home network, which is why he does not want to get caught in the crossfire.
“It’s such a hard situation and it’s something hard to answer and I don’t want to comment. Toni was my first love team, of course, and I’ll always love the works we’ve done. She’s always been a dear friend through the years.
“I don’t want to comment on the situation because I feel like it’s not [going to be] good,” he said.
“I started because of [ABS-CBN]. ABS gave me my career. If it weren’t for ABS I won’t have the work that I have, I wouldn’t be here. So I love and appreciate the network that gave me so many blessings,” he added.
Milby then explained that he is distancing himself from the issue because it involves people he cares.
“It’s a sensitive subject. I’m the type na I hate taking sides especially if it’s between the people I care about.”
When asked why he never appeared as a guest on Gonzaga’s ALLTV talk show, he revealed that he got invited before, but it never happened.
“I’ve been offered before but hindi natuloy. Hindi lang nangyari.”
But he said that the ABS-CBN network is not prohibiting their talents from appearing in TV programs from other networks.
Toni Gonzaga’s talk show Toni is taking a break due to low viewership, accordingly. Rumors even spread that the show was struggling to get new guests.
Today, All Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) has yet to issue an official statement regarding the temporary or permanent break of Toni Gonzaga’s talk show.
