On February 12, actress Cherry Pie Picache stressed that she doesn’t feel pressure for the film Oras de Peligro.
At the grand media conference for the Joel Lamangan film, Picache highlighted the collaborative process of the cast and crew.
“Actually ano eh, hindi ako ‘yung bida, ‘yung pinaka main character ng ano di ba? But I’d like to believe na there’s a collaboration with everybody– we are an ensemble. We have all the actors.”
She then noted their effort to include actual footage from 1986.
“Tapos ‘yung actual clips na nangyari, actual footages ng nangyari noong 1986. ‘Yung ganon.”
She then emphasized their goal of fighting disinformation.
“So feeling pressured, no! My only prayer is that this–you will support us, to tell the truth, because I think it’s very vital–[to be able] to campaign [against] disinformation.
“At tsaka importante sa mga kabataan ngayon na malaman nila kung ano talaga ang totoong nangyari sa kasaysayan natin. So ‘yun ‘yung pinapakiusap namin na sana tulungan ninyo kami.
“This [production] is not for us– it’s not only for the film, hindi ito para kumita lang, kung di this is for every Filipino.”
Oras de Peligro stars Picache with Allen Dizon, Dave Bornea, and Therese Malvar.
The cast also features Jim Pebanco, Crysten Dizon, Elora Espana, Timothy Castillo, and Rico Barrera.
Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Lamangan, Oras de Peligro opens in cinemas starting March 1.
