Sharon Cuneta has a message to the fans who wish to see her on GMA Network, saying she came from the said Network and their love and respect for her did not diminish.
On March 5, via Instagram, Cuneta said she doesn’t have a contract with the Kapamilya network.
“So while I will always be there when they need me and will always be grateful, I guess it is understandable that I, for now, consider myself a free agent. It’s time I opened myself up to other stations that may need my services while always keeping my Kapamilya ‘duties,’ if and when they come.”
Cuneta denied claims that she had already negotiated with other networks.
“One goes only where one is needed. (And no, wala pa akong nakakausap na kahit sino mula sa kahit anong istasyon, for the record lang po.) I love you, ABS-CBN. My memory and loyalty are unquestionable. But a girl’s gotta work where she can and where she’s wanted. See you again hopefully soon whenever you may need me!” she said.

A netizen commented, wishing Cuneta to go to the Kapuso network.
“Sana mag GMA ka nalang po mega. Baka dun maibalik nila ang talkshow mo like tito boy abunda. At baka mabigyan ka ng magandang teleserye na deserve mo nman tlga. Mahal ka ng GMA alam ko yun kasi sa gma supershow ka tlga nag start mag co-host with kuya germs. Sana lang tlga mega sa gma ka na, para fresh tlga ang start mo ulet ng pagbabalik mo sa TV,” the comment said.
“Du’n naman ako galing and dami akong kaibigan dun never nawala love & respeto nila sakin. Kapamilya lang nga ako ng over 3 decades pero naggeguest pa rin naman ako sa GMA,” Cuneta repiled.
Cuneta left ABS-CBN in 2012 after appearing almost exclusively on the Network for decades. She returned, however, two years later after reportedly buying out her four-year contract with TV5.
