On March 30, Kapamilya star Belle Mariano voiced her thoughts on whether boyfriends should have a “say” in what their girlfriends get to wear.
At the media event for her collaboration with the clothing brand SHEIN, which LionhearTV covered, Mariano said that it would depend on the agreement between the couple.
“I think that’s a conversation between the two of them. That’s it. It’s a conversation–if you have agreements, if he’s uncomfortable when you’re wearing this, that’s between you guys.”
She then listed her favorite clothing and apparel from SHEIN.
“You know, what I usually get from SHEIN, I get jeans, they have amazing jeans, like kasi everytime na nagpapadala siya, sakto nga ‘yung tela, lahat. And jeans, actually everything is haves, lahat kailangan mong kunin. Once you start ticking something, you can’t stop.
“So there’s jeans, dresses, shoes as well, wow! Like my shoes right now. They’re very nice– they’re really comfy even if you feel like parang may stage ako sa paa, pero sobrang comfy ng high pumps ko. Shirts as well, and tank tops.”
She also talked about her fashion icons, Adrianne Concepcion and Valeria Lipovetsky.
As for her partnership with the clothing brand, Mariano expressed gratitude and excitement for her collaboration with SHEIN.
“Oh my gosh, it’s really great. You /know, I am very grateful that I [get to have this type of family, very caring. And you know, SHEIN has been this app that /I have been using ever since. And you know, to be able to here, to be able to wear SHEIN. It’s really a statement. So, thank you so much, SHEIN.”
Earlier, SHEIN introduced Mariano as their brand ambassador, together with the launch of their first pop-up store in the Philippines at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
