Kapuso star Dingdong Dantes finally discussed his alleged political plan.
Despite his busy schedule, Dantes’s plan to enter politics was discussed. While others were against the idea, many people still supported the actor.
For the Season Finale episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on April 21, Dantes admitted that he considered the idea but believed that he could not fully commit to it.
The “Primetime King” revealed, “Gusto ko pong aminin that I really thought na sana [there’s a chance] for me to do more for the Filipino people over and beyond my work here in the industry pero never pa umabot sa punto para masabi kong, ‘Sige, gagawin ko ito.”
He further explained, “It’s because I regard public office, especially kapag sinabing public service yun talaga ang top priority. I recognize na it’s not that easy, it will require much of your time, much of your energy, your love, your passion, of yourself, and it takes much sacrifice.”
Dantes also expressed that his current focus is on his family.
Dantes also pointed out that he is clear about his multiple roles; literally and figuratively. He said he wants to be the best father to his children, the best husband to Marian, and be a good son, as well as be a responsible member of the industry while striving to be a good citizen.
Dantes is currently busy preparing for his TV comeback via ‘Royal Blood’.
He will also host the long-awaited program ‘The Voice Generations’.
