On April 19, Sparkle Teens John Clifford and Bryce Eusebio highlighted their journey from Kapuso child actors to teen stars.
At the launch of Sparkle Teens, which LionhearTV covered, Clifford (The Adventurous Performer of Sparkle Teens) revealed that he participated in GMA Network’s Promil, I Shine Talent Camp Season 3.
“When I was seven years old po, I joined, Promil, I Shine Talent Camp Season 3, and I auditioned, and fortunately, I was part of top 40 under singing category. And I was also lucky that I got to be a finalist, and after that, doon na po nag-start ‘yung career ko. I started doing commercials and print ads.”
He then recalled auditioning for Sparkle GMA Artist Center, which led him to become part of Sparkle Teens.
“Noong 2021, that’s when I auditioned sa Sparkle because I really wanted to be part of Sparkle, and fortunately po they welcomed me with open arms.”
Eusebio (17, The Happy Pill of Sparkle Teens) cited his experience as a child actor under GMA Network.
“I can’t really tell kung kailan exactly because I’ve been acting since I was a kid po and masasabi ko po na na-enjoy ko po siya bata pa lang po ako. So siguro, before pa, not siguro noong nag-start ako, but I learned po kasi through the years. And everytime that I act po kasi parang I’m feeling this certain happiness while I’m on the set, I’m on the workshop.”
As for Sparkle Teens, GMA Network introduced 19 teen stars to grow their star power and talent.
These teens artists include Waynona Collings, Charlie Fleming, Keisha Serna, Gaea Mischa, Selina Griffin, Ashley Sarmiento, Naomi Park, Liana Mae, Aya Domingo, Princess Aliyah, John Clifford, Lee Victor, James Graham, Antonio Vinzon, Aidan Veneracion, Josh Ford, Bryce Eusebio, Marco Masa, and Zyren Dela Cruz.
