Showbiz columnist Lolit Solis agreed it is a good move for Kapamilya star Enrique Gil to distance himself from his girlfriend Liza Soberano.
On May 1, via an Instagram post, Solis shared that since the two have already gone separate ways regarding their career, she suggested Gil be on another love team.
“Maganda nga ang ginagawa ni Enrique Gil na umiiwas sumagot pag tinatanong tungkol kay Liza Soberano. Mas mabuti ng tahimik kesa lumabas na sumasakay siya sa mga issues tungkol kay Liza.
“Puwede naman hindi sila maging loveteam at maging solo ang mga career. Mas mahirap pa nga na madikit pangalan nila sa isa’t isa pagkatapos maghihiwalay dahil iba ang career path na gusto ni Liza.
“Madali naman i-partner sa iba si Enrique Gil. Talented siya at professional kaya madali ang trabaho. Kaya kung gugustuhin niya, marami pa rin stars ang puwede maging katambal niya. Sa panahon ngayon mahirap ang isa lang puwede mo tambalan, dapat puwede ka kahit kanino,” Solis stated.
On March 30, Gil celebrated his 31st birthday, but Soberano did not greet him on social media platforms.
Netizens speculate that Soberano and Gil have already separated after the former did not post any message on social media for the latter’s birthday for the first time.
In 2014, Soberano and Gil started dating. Since then, they joined the ranks of the country’s most-popular celebrity couples.
They have starred in numerous popular Filipino films such as Alone/Together (2019), My Ex and Whys (2017), Everyday I Love You (2015), and Just The Way You Are (2015).
It was Soberano’s choice to make a name in Hollywood, leaving her career in the Philippines.
