Martin Del Rosario spills the tea on getting the role of Prince Zardoz in ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ despite being initially intimidated during the audition.
On April 12, Martin Del Rosario shared in a press conference about his unforgettable audition experience for ‘Voltes V’. He shared, “Sobrang daming nag-audition, I think nagkasabay yung audition for Mark and Zardoz.”
“Binigay na sakin yung script, and pagtanggap ko nung script, kinabahan ako bigla. Kasi yung mg lines ni Zardoz, sobrang lalim, na-overwhelm ako. Isang page siya na mahaba na marami akong hindi maintindihan na tagalog.”
Initially, he studied Mark Gordon’s role, which he was also given, and with whom he could better relate. He said, “Pagdating ko doon sa room na paga-auditionan namin, si Direk Mark, parang tinuro lang ako, sabi niya ‘No no no, Zardoz, Zardoz only.’ Eh yung sa utak ko, mas fresh pa yung kay Mark.”
Despite being intimidated, Martin showcased his acting skills and secured ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ which will take over the big screen in a jaw-dropping cinematic experience from April 19-25!
