TV5’s newscast ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ will contend head-to-head with ABS-CBN’s ‘TV Patrol’ and GMA’s ’24 Oras’ as it shifts into its latest timeslot.
‘Frontline Pilipinas’ will air at 6:30 pm starting May 22, 2023, as announced by Kapatid anchor Cheryl Cosim on Instagram.
“Simula May 22, makikipagsabayan na kami! #FrontlinePilipinas, 6:30pm na. Balitang Frontline, Balitang Primetime.”
Cheryl Cosim and Julius Babao are ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ anchors. Gretchen Ho, Luchi Cruz Valdes, Ed Lingao, and Lourd de Veyra are journalists.
Cosim and Raffy Tulfo were the original main anchors for the newscast but the latter left in October 2021 to run for senator. Babao replaced Tulfo in September 2022.
Back in December 2022, ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ was recognized by the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) as the Best TV News Program. Cheryl Cosim was also called the “Best TV News Program Host” by PMAP.
