Crazy as Pinoy has made a comeback with a new rendition of their 2000s hit, Panaginip. During the press conference on May 16, the group revealed how they recently reunited under a new label.
The group’s iconic track, Panaginip, became an instant sensation in the early 2000s, captivating listeners nationwide with its infectious beats and catchy lyrics.
According to Crispin,“Nagpplano kami last November na ibalik namin yung ginagawa namin, nakatanggap kami ng tawag sa Black Entertainment.”
During the early 2000s, there was a popular rap battle competition called RapPublic of the Philippines on the noontime show, Eat Bulaga. One standout trio from Marikina, known as Triangulo, eventually transformed into the successful and now “comebacking” hip-hop group, Crazy as Pinoy.
The group consists of Lordivino Ignacio, also known as Bassilyo; Muriel Anne Jamito, known as Sisa; and Jeffrey Pilien, known as Crispin.
Sisa also clarified that, “Hindi naman po kami nagkahiwa-hiwalay nangyari lamang po na nagkaroon lang kami ng kanya-kanyang ginagawa.”
Under the label Blvck Music, the group released their first single, a 2023 version of Panaginip, along with an official music video directed by the acclaimed Titus Cee.
Panaginip 2023 is featured in Crazy as Pinoy’s latest digital album and is now available on various music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, Deezer, Medianet, Boomplay, and YouTube Music.
