GMA Network’s late-night romantic-drama series Hearts On Ice once again obtained high TV ratings after Ponggay (Ashley Ortega) and Enzo (Xian Lim) finally became an official couple.
According to the preliminary overnight rating data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, HOI registered a rating of 9.0 percent, 1.5 percent higher than its competitor, The Iron Heart, which scored 7.5 percent.
GMA Drama then thanked its viewers in a tweet on June 6.

Aside from high ratings, the series also captured the netizens ‘kilig’ as Ponggay and Enzo’s relationship finally became official.

In the June 5 episode, Ponggay discovered that Enzo was the boy who saved her in the past. This revelation came after Enzo saw the music box he had bought for Ponggay.
At that moment, Enzo asked Ponggay if she can be a part of his life and be his girlfriend. Ponggay, at first, was reluctant and was not able to immediately answer the proposal. Evidently, Ponggay did not want to hurt Enzo, and disappoint her parents.
Ponggay’s parents, Libay (Amy Austria) and Ruben (Lito Pimentel), advised her not to hold back from what makes her happy. Libay and Ruben, gave their blessings and assured that they agree and support her and Ezo.
