On May 26, actor-senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. hinted at how ‘Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ may reflect his real-life story.

At the media conference for ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis,’ which LionhearTV covered, Revilla quipped about how the upcoming series reflected his life.

The actor-senator confirmed, “Actually, itong istorya ng Walang Matigas na Pulis, actually, this is my life story.”

He also noted how the series would be based on his two movies, ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ (1994) and ‘Yes Darling: Walang Matigas na Pulis 2′ (1997).

Revilla shared, “…kung gaano kalapit, base naman lahat doon sa first and second na ginawang movie and then itong pangatlo for television. So lahat–pero makikita mo naman ‘yung iba-ibang attack naman na ginawa ni Beauty sa role ni Gloria, iba ‘yung attack na ginawa ni Lani. Dito si Beauty, Bisaya siya, iba ‘yung tapang niya rin. So makikita mo ‘yung ibang dating.”

He then joked about how his character in the series reflects his chick-magnet side.

“Ang pagkakalapit lang doon ay ‘yung pagiging malapitin sa chicks. Hindi, pelikula– trabaho lang ‘to kaya panoorin natin ‘to,” he added.

Revilla then cited some life experiences that may reference his Bartolome character in the series.

“Well, sa dami ba naman ng nangyari sa buhay ko di ba? ‘Yung iba, nagawa na doon sa Walang Matigas 1 and 2, sabi ko nga true to life story ko ‘to eh.”

He also disclosed how his wife, Lani Mercado, strengthened their relationship by accepting who he was when he was younger.

“Sabi ko nga, true to life story ‘to. Hindi joke lang. Very understanding na asawa si Lani. Siguro dahil sa sobrang ka-pilyohan ni Bong Revilla, kung hindi niya na-accept ‘yung ka-pilyohan ko noon, noon ha, siguro wala na. Pero, dahil sa kaniya, kaya steady kami, matibay ang relasyon.”

Finally, he shared relationship advice with his co-stars that helped his marriage to Mercado.

Maraming pagsubok ang dumadating basta no matter what, kayo pa rin. Kita mo naman kami ni Lani hanggang ngayon kami pa rin.”

The action star advised that a problem should not be left unresolved before the day ends.

Revilla and Mercado tied the knot in 1986, marking this year as their 37th wedding anniversary.

As for their upcoming Kapuso comedy series, ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ stars Revilla, Beauty Gonzalez, Max Collins, Kate Valdez, Raphael Landicho, Kelvin Miranda, and Carmi Martin.

The cast also features the newcomer Angel Leighton with the stellar cast of Niño Muhlach, ER Ejercito, Ronnie Ricketts, Maey Bautista, Archie Alemania, Dennis Marasigan, Jeric Raval, Bembol Roco, Maey Bautista, and Nikko Co.

Under the direction of Enzo Williams with associate director Frasco Mortiz, ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ airs on June 4 via GMA Network.
