In the official Instagram account of Eat Bulaga, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ ) released their official statement regarding the trending parting ways of Eat Bulaga! from their long-time production company, TAPE Inc.
They wrote a the caption: “PUMASOK PO KAMING LAHAT NGAYONG ARAW PARA MAGTRABAHO PERO HINDI PO KAMI PINAYAGAN NG NEW MANAGEMENT NA UMERE NG LIVE”
This explained the earlier chaos on social media after netizens noticed the noontime show did a replay on May 31.
They further wrote: “HINDI NA PO NAMIN ISA ISAHIN PA ANG LAMAN NG AMING PUSO. ANG HANGAD LANG PO NAMIN AY MAKAPAGTRABAHO NG MAPAYAPA, WALANG INAAGRABYADO, AT MAY RESPETO SA BAWAT ISA.
“SIMULA NGAYONG ARAW, MAY 31, 2023, KAMI PO AY NAGPAPAALAM NA SA TAPE INCORPORATED.”
This statement fortifies the recent rumors of internal strife between TAPE and Eat Bulaga!’s hosts that could be the reason behind the departure.
To sympathize with the show, celebrities like Kimpoy Feliciano and Vina Morales replied to the Instagram post and expressed their saddened feelings regarding the issue.
Morales wrote: “Salamat po dabarkads na naging parte ako ng show ng ilang dekada 🙏❤️ from broadway studio to the new studio , Salamat po ❤️🙏”

Meanwhile, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, the wife of Vic posted a picture of her family with the caption, “Eat Bulaga meant so much to me. Forever grateful. #dabarkadsforever“
In the Instagram post, Ruby Rodriguez replied sharing her remorse after being a part of the show for more than 30 years.
Maine Mendoza’s Instagram post regarding the issue also received many replies from different celebrities such as former Dabarkads Maja Salvador and Camille Prats.
