During the media launch of the 34th Philippine Travel Mart, Fe Abling-Yu, President of PHILTOA and Chair of the Philippine Travel Mart, shared that they are doing their best to bring the best 3-day show to encourage travelers to explore and discover the wonderful things in the Philippines. She also mentioned that the local governments are very eager to take part in the event because their respective areas will benefit from the impact of tourism, which includes new jobs that will help them recover from the effects of the pandemic.
She also added that they will highlight emerging places like Samar, Marinduque, Romblon, Quirino, Isabela, Masbate, and Samal Island. Starting from last year, they will continue to feature the Colors of Mindanao, which includes dive tourism (blue), sun and beaches (teal), ecotourism (green), farm tourism (brown), culture and heritage (violet), adventure and sports (red), culinary tourism (orange), and faith tourism (yellow).
The Philippine Travel Mart has become the hub for every traveler, both Filipinos and foreign travelers who want to discover the hidden gems in domestic tourism. From the beautiful beaches to the places that have in-depth and amazing cultural heritage, there are also places that are perfect for those who want to experience adventures and see the majestic nature.
Meanwhile, Maria Margarita M. Nograles, Chief Operating Officer of Tourism Promotions Board Philippines, shares that they are very excited about the 34th Philippine Travel Mart spearheaded by PHILTOA. According to Nograles, the event will showcase breathtaking scenic places, delicious cuisine, and the rich heritage of the Philippines that will inspire both local and international travelers. It will also boost the tourism economy of the country.
Recently, the DOT also added health and wellness tourism as they want to position the Philippines as a hub in Asia and globally by tapping into the medical and wellness industry.
Philippine Travel Mart’s partner, Philippine Airlines, assures that great deals and discounts await visitors at the 3-day event.
This is PHILTOA’s way of contributing to strengthening economic tourism, supported by the Department of Tourism (DOT), Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), and the media industry.
Aside from discovering beautiful places, domestic tourism also encourages a deeper understanding of the culture and traditions, the stories of the people, and local products that add up to the reasons why we love the Philippines.
