On June 13, seasoned actress Daria Ramirez detailed her secret to remaining healthy.
During the story conference for Unspoken Letters at the Limbaga 77 Cafe Restaurant in Quezon City, Ramirez said she has maintained a healthy lifestyle at 71.
“‘Yung kasing exercise, pinasok ko na. Iyon, until now, I’m doing it, and the healthy foods, like mga gulay, fish.”
She then highlighted how she faced the COVID-19 pandemic and remained healthy, joking that she’s ready to have another try at having a relationship.
“Kaya nga malakas ang loob ko, kasi I know I’m healthy, hindi ako nagka-COVID, never ako na-COVID, not even Delta, na-Omicron ako pero alam ko trangkaso lang ‘yun. And then afterwards, the second day, waley.
“I go around the house, I cook, and I’m a very domesticated person. I’m an independent person. I do everything. I’m still looking forward to having another boyfriend.”
She then shared her advice to her young co-stars in ‘Unspoken Letters’ on how to achieve longevity in their careers.
“Ang masasabi ko lang, focus kayo, just focus with your roles. All of your roles, wag kayong mag-isip ng hindi maganda sa kapwa. Whatever–let’s say ako, bilang senior ako sa inyo, makikinig kayo sa mga sasabihin namin sa inyo.
“‘Yun lang ang masasabi ko, mag-focus lang kayo sa trabaho, kung ano ang sasabihin ng director, sundin ninyo dahil hindi tayo naglalaro dito.”
Ramirez began her career in 1970 with the film Durando. She then worked on various films such as Aguila (1980), Signal Rock (2018), and Sinong Kapiling? Sinong Kasiping? (1977).
