Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda has created buzz on social media with his recent bond with some Kapuso stars.
On July 5, Vice Ganda shared an Instagram post story featuring his bonding moment with Kapuso stars Mavy Legaspi, Kyline Alcantara, Ken Chan, and siblings Rayver Cruz and Rodjun Cruz.
Although Alcantara’s Instagram Story was later deleted, she expressed overwhelming joy and gratitude for the experience. She captioned a photo with Vice, saying, “Sobrang saya ko na nakausap na po kita, ate @praybeytbenjamin. Thank you for answering all my questions last night about the industry. You are an inspiration ❤️ #FanGirlMoment.”
Ken Chan also shared a group photo on his now-deleted Instagram Story, welcoming Vice Ganda to the GMA family with the caption, “Welcome to the family @praybeytbenjamin.”
In a podcast interview with Nelson Canlas, Vice Ganda previously shared his joy and gratitude upon joining GMA’s GTV. He expressed his excitement and positivity, emphasizing his lack of nervousness and his feeling of being special. He extended his gratitude to GMA, recognizing this milestone in his showbiz career considering his humble beginnings in comedy bars.
“Masarap ‘yong pakiramdam. Sobrang positibo, sobrang punong-puno ako ng excitement. Wala akong naramdamang masyadong kaba, masayang masaya lang talaga ako… I just feel so special and I am very very grateful.
“Napakalaking achievement sa’kin nun kasi s’yempre nakikita ka sa mga stations ng GMA, parang bid deal ‘yon coming from comedy bars… Big step sa’min ‘yon eh kaya malaking achievement sa’kin ‘yon na nandirito na ako,” Vice said.
He revealed that they had invited other Kapuso stars to be part of the opening production number but unfortunately, they were unavailable because of their prior commitments. He also mentioned their dreams of having a joint event or ball with GMA stars.
“Marami kaming nakausap na gusto sana naming kasama doon sa opening number and they would love to be part of the production number pero hindi sila available kasi andami ring ganap ng mga Kapuso stars kaya hindi natuloy.
“Alam mo ‘pag may kasama kaming mga Kapuso stars, pinag-uusapan namin ‘yan palagi. ‘Yong dream naming magkaroon ng ball together.”
Furthermore, Vice mentioned about the Kapuso stars he has already made friends with, including Rocco Nacino, Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, and Ken Chan. He expressed his desire to interview and have fun with more Kapuso stars, appreciating the opportunities now available to him.
So ngayon it will be very possible.”
Reflecting on his showbiz journey and personal growth, Vice humorously remarked, “Hindi na ako ganun kapangit ngayon,” in response to the comparison between his old and new self. He expressed his appreciation to the people he has encountered throughout his career, including Nelson Canlas.
In a message to the ‘Madlang-Kapuso’ (It’s Showtime and GMA viewers), Vice thanked them for their warm reception and acceptance as they embark on this new chapter.
“Unang-una, maraming salamat po sa oportunidad na ito, maraming-maraming salamat sa pagtanggap sa amin, sa pagsilip sa amin, at maraming salamat sa masarap na pakiramdam na ibinigay ninyo sa amin sa pagpasok namin dito sa tahanan niyo.”
Having started as a comedian in the 1990s and honing his singing and hosting skills, Vice had been visible in shows like SIS, Comedy Central Market, and SOP. He later transferred to ABS-CBN and became part ‘It’s Showtime’ in October 2009.
