Actress Elisse Joson opened up about how she and her partner McCoy de Leon were able to reconcile their relationship during an appearance on the program ‘Magandang Buhay.’
Host Melai Cantiveros asked Elisse directly, “Didiretsuhin na kita Elisse, paano niyo naayos ni McCoy ang relationship niyo?”
Elisse responded by expressing her gratitude for the support they received from their loved ones and fans. She emphasized that they worked hard to come back together, highlighting that they couldn’t simply give up, especially with so many people supporting them.
“I’m grateful kasi ang daming nagmamahal sa’min na nakakatulong din for us to come together. Kasi alam niyong maraming sumusuporta sa inyo, maraming nagmamahal.”
“And sabi nga po ninyo and a lot of people sa family, hindi naman ‘yon basta susukuan lang agad. You have to work hard for it and kahit anong mangyari, gagawin mo ang lahat talaga para magsama-sama kayo, maayos,” she added.
Elisse also mentioned how their daughter, Felize, played a significant role in their reconciliation. She shared that when they look at their child, they feel blessed and realize that they should continue working on their relationship rather than quarreling.
“Kapag tinitingnan namin [si Felize], parang sabi namin, ‘grabe, mag-aaway pa ba tayo? Tingnan mo naman oh, ang blessed blessed natin sa batang ‘to,’” Elisse shared.
McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson, who were together for six years and have a daughter named Felize, announced their breakup in January 2023, citing “online miscommunication” as the reason. However, by February 2023, they had confirmed their reconciliation and were committed to co-parenting and keeping their relationship alive.
In a recent interview, Elisse expressed their happiness and dedication to being a family.
