On September 16, rap artist Omar Baliw highlighted the benefits of joining Asitanda Management and Production Incorporated.
At the pre-show media event for ‘The High Minds 12th-Anniversary Concert,’ which LionhearTV covered, Omar cited the organized planning from the Asintada management team as one of the benefits of joining the company.
“‘Yun nga dahil nasa Asintada tayo, kasama natin si sir Gloc-9, Shanti Dope, Skusta, Flow G, sobrang– kasi first time ko din makasubok ng ganiyan so lahat independent ‘yung galaw namin before. So now, may mas malinis na management.”
He also noted how the artist management protects and promotes the artists under their roster.
“Ayun pa pala, kapag wala kang matinong management sa hiphop, gagahasain ka ng mga tao, parang babalewalain ka lang. So ngayon, nasa loob ako ng magandang bilog, sobrang ganda ng pwesto ko, may out of the country show kami next month. Sabay sa sunod na next, mayroon ulit. So ‘yun sobrang sarap na kasama sila.”
He then highlighted how he maintained his creative freedom as a rap artist while working with the management company.
“Ayun po ‘yung kinaganda ng Asintada, management siya sa management, pero hawak mo lahat ng kung anong gusto mong trip na gawin, gawin mo. Kumbaga, management, management pa pero independent, independent pa rin.”
Omar released his first album, ‘High Minds Music,’ in 2011. Despite lacking commercial success, his first venture into music recording helped his business to grow through the High Minds Clothing.
Omar’s rap music repertoire includes ‘Araguy,’ ‘Kalmado,’ and ‘Natuto Lang.’ He also collaborated with his Pinoy rap artists, such as Gloc-9, Pricetagg, CLR, and Shanti Dope.
Omar joined Asintada’s current roster of rap artists, including Gloc-9, Shanti Dope, Flow G, Skusta Clee, and the next-generation hip hop artists Guddhist, Hero, and Ramdiss.
