On September 13, Pinoy singer JC Regino recounted his first song, which he offered to stars Alden Richards and Enrique Gil.
At the media event for his sophomore single ‘Tama Na Sa Akin Ikaw,’ which LionhearTV covered, Regino shared details of how he offered his song First Love to GMA Network and ABS-CBN for their premiere stars Alden Richards and Enrique Gil.
“Yung First Love ‘yung ano po ‘yun eh. Ni-release po kasi sa YouTube that time na ‘yun. Pero siya po ‘yung kumanta, ‘yung demo lang po. Iyon pong kantang po ‘yun ano po yun eh, pinasa, ipinasa niya sa GMA dati noong kasikatan ni Idol Alden Richards. Kaso, hindi po ata natanggap po ‘yun. Tapos pinasa na lang po ata sa ABS-CBN, kay Enrique Gil. Hindi rin ata nakuha ‘yun.”
He also disclosed the collaboration with his late father, April Boy Regino, titled ‘Wala Nang Tayo.’
“Hanging po, hanging lang po ‘yung kanta na ‘yun. Pero bago po siya mawala may project pa po kami Aprill Boy pa ‘yung daddy ko noong time na ‘yun. ‘Yung ‘Wala Nang Tayo.’ Ako ‘yung rap, tapos ‘yung Daddy ko ‘yung kakanta.”
However, despite already creating and recording the songs, recording companies did not release his singles.
“Ni-record ko po kasi hindi rin naman po nilabas sa mga recording company po.”
As for his music, JC released his sophomore single ‘Tama Na Sa ‘Kin Ikaw’ on September 15 under GMA Music. The song pays tribute to the timeless hits of the beloved April Boys and their fans.
JC Regino collaborated with his uncles Vingo and Jimmy Regino in crafting his sophomore single under the Kapuso music label.
April Boys fans and music lovers can stream ‘Tama Na Sa ‘Kin Ikaw’ via digital streaming platforms starting September 15.
