On November 16, Talent manager and showbiz news reporter Ogie Diaz responded to his previous report about Coco Martin and Julia Montes’ relationship.
At the media event for ‘In His Mother’s Eyes,’ which LionhearTV covered, Diaz clarified that he and Martin remained close despite Montes’ denial of her relationship with the ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ actor-director.
When asked whether he had people confronting him for his showbiz reports, Diaz answered, “Wala, wala naman.
He also cited the difficulty of releasing news that would end up getting denied by the sources of the information themselves.
“So saan naman tayo lulugar noon.
He then noted the value of confirming the information with the artists first.
Earlier, Diaz faced backlash from netizens after reporting on the rumors of KathNiel’s breakup, with him suggesting Andrea Brillantes was the reason behind the rumored split.
‘In His Mother’s Eyes’ stars Maricel Soriano and Roderick Paulate with Ogie Diaz, LA Santos, Vivoree Esclito, Elyson de Dios, and Maila Gumila.
The film, under the direction of FM Reyes, opens in cinemas on November 29.
