There are circulating speculations that the sitcom ‘Open 24/7,’ featuring Maja Salvador and Vic Sotto, may be coming to an end.
The hearsay gained traction with the revelation that TV5’s MQuest Ventures and MZet TV Productions, the producer of ‘Open 24/7,’ are working on a new sitcom.
Titled ‘Mana Mana,’ the show is set to be unveiled as part of the new lineup for 2024 and will still be top-billed by Vic Sotto.
The news surfaced as early as August, coinciding with developments involving the TVJ group, which launched ‘EAT’ on TV5, and TAPE Inc., the partner of GMA Network in ‘Eat Bulaga.’
‘Open 24/7’ made its debut on May 27 and has been on air for six months every Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on GMA Network, following ‘#MPK (Magpakailanman).’
As of now, there is no official confirmation from either GMA Network or MZet TV Productions regarding the rumored conclusion of ‘Open 24/7.’ Let’s just wait and see….
