On October 31, actor Paulo Avelino revealed he did not accept other projects because of his body transformations for ‘Linlang.’
At the ‘Linlang’ Thanksgiving Media Conference, which LionhearTV covered, Avelino remarked that he sacrificed opportunities and projects because of the body transformation requirements he needed for his role as Victor in the Prime Video series.
“Isang sacrifice na kinailangan talagang isakripisyo talaga ‘yung pag tanggap talaga ng ibang proyekto na dahil hindi angkop doon sa look ko. And parang ‘yun nga nagtataka ‘yung ibang tao kung parang nagpabaya daw ako, pero it was all to prepare for Linlang.”
He also noted the discipline necessary for his role in ‘Linlang.’
“Kumbaga ‘yung dedication ko na binibigay doon sa proyektong ito, binigay ko talaga. Hindi ako tumanggap ng ibang proyekto para matutukan ko ‘to. And at the same time, ang dami ko ring disiplina na ininstill sa sarili ko para ma-achieve, ‘yung sa tingin ko makatulong sa show in some way, in terms of believability, ‘yun.”
Despite the struggles with his body transformation, Avelino highlighted how excited he is for the upcoming episodes of the Prime Video series.
“Medyo struggle talaga dahil may ginusto akong i-achieve na medyo na-achieve naman ‘yung sa weight differences noong character development ni Victor until dito sa present na panahon nila.
“Pero, I’m very excited, I’m very excited for the next two episodes. I think the next two episodes, parang dito medyo–medyo kawindang-windang ‘yung mga mangyayari na hindi nila ine-expect. So nakakatuwa kapag iniisip ng mga tao na parang feel ko ganito ‘yung mangyayari, or feel ko ganito ‘yung mangyayari, pero at the end of the day, hindi ‘yun ‘yung mangyayari based sa nalalaman nila.”
