In a recent contract signing with ABS-CBN, actor Richard Gutierrez disclosed one of his sources of inspiration for excelling in his acting career: fellow Kapamilya star Coco Martin.
Reflecting on his time in ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ in 2020, where he played the role of Lito Valmoria, Richard recounted witnessing Coco’s dedication and hard work during their two-year collaboration. Coco’s passion for his craft and tireless effort served as a significant inspiration for Richard.
“Nakatrabaho ko si Coco Martin nang dalawang taon sa ‘Ang Probinsyano.’ Wala siyang kapaguran at nakita ko ‘yun sa kanya,” Richard shared. “It’s because of his passion and it’s because of the people he works with and I was able to see that and get inspired by that as well.”
Following the success of his drama series, ‘The Iron Heart,’ Richard expressed his desire to focus on further developing his acting skills. He emphasized his enjoyment in working on action projects, stating, “I really enjoy action-packed stories. You can tell so many stories with an action series.”
Preparing for action projects involves mental, physical, and spiritual readiness, according to Richard. He highlighted that it’s a collective effort with the entire team, and the audience and team’s success motivate him to continuously strive for the best.
Looking ahead to 2024, Richard has an upcoming project, the details of which are still under wraps.
