On November 23, actress-producer Sylvia Sanchez recounts how Nathan Studios acquired distribution rights for John Woo’s action film ‘Silent Night.’

At the media event at the Podium Cinema in Pasig, which LionhearTV covered, Sanchez detailed how their studio goes to different festivals to see what film they could acquire.

She then listed the different film festivals their studio has already attended recently.

“Cannes, Cannes talaga. Tapos from Austin Texas, mayroon din akong paparating. Nakikipag-negotiate pa, yes.”

She also highlighted the unique plot ‘Silent Night’ offers for Filipino moviegoers, especially those who love the action genre.

“Family drama pa rin ‘to, action. First time to na may ganitong movie na ganito ‘yung approach ng action. First time ‘to, never ko ‘tong nakita kahit sa ibang bansa, kahit dito sa atin. Never.”

She also assured viewers that the action-packed scenes of ‘Silent Night’ would fulfill the Filipino audience’s high-octane craving for the action genre.

As for the movie, ‘Silent Night’ stars Joel Kinnaman with Catalino Sandino Moreno, Kid Cudi, Vinny O’Brien, Yoko Hamamura, Harold Torres, Anthony Guiletti, and John Pollack.

Through the partnership between Nathan Studios and 888 Films International, from the direction of action director John Woo and John Wick producer Basil Iwanyk, ‘Silent Night’ opens in PH cinemas on November 29.
