During a recent press conference for the upcoming series ‘Black Rider,’ Zoren Legaspi shared some insightful remarks about the emerging star, Ruru Madrid, while discussing Ruru’s role.
In the process, Legaspi subtly commented on the authenticity of certain celebrities in the entertainment industry.
Legaspi, who had the opportunity to become acquainted with Ruru through his son Maverick, initially held reservations. However, after closely observing Ruru’s conduct and demeanor, he concluded that Ruru Madrid was far from being a “plastic” or insincere individual.
“Noong sinusubaybayan ko si Ruru, pinapanood ko ang mga kilos niya, how he is, kung plastik ba siyang bata, o hindi. Kasi ganoon ako, hindi muna ako nakikihalubilo, pinag-aaralan ko muna lahat.”
According to Legaspi, genuine people consistently remain true to themselves, and Ruru demonstrated these qualities.
“Ang na-discover ko, hindi siya plastik. Ang plastik na tao, hindi mo mami-maintain ang pagka-plastik mo. Kaming mga beterano, alam na namin ang kilos ng mga plastik na artista.”
“Kaya ako natutuwa, kasi kaibigan ni Maverick si Ruru, and at the same time bini-build up ng GMA si Ruru, so tama lang na bigyan ng opportunity ang isang bata na my talent, at the same time mabait. Ganun dapat ang nabibigyan ng opportunity. At na kay Ruru ang mga katangian na `yon.”
Legaspi commended Ruru’s remarkable talent and character, underscoring the significance of providing opportunities to individuals who embody authenticity.
“Although hindi pa kami nagkakaeksena sa ‘Black Rider’, pero sa tuwing nakikita niya ako, very humble, at lagi siyang lalapit sa iyo, at kahit gaano kalayo ang pagitan n’yo, siya mismo ang lalapit sa iyo. So, sana huwag siyang magbago! At sa tingin ko hindi naman siya magbabago!”
