Kapuso star Rob Gomez has come forward to name his ex-partner, Shaila Rebortera, as the alleged perpetrator behind the leaking of his private messages on social media.
The disclosure emerged during an interview with an entertainment website, where Gomez shared insights into the incident that unfolded on December 20, 2023.
Gomez stated, “Please be advised that my phone was taken and used it without my consent on December 20, 2023 from 12:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Worse is that the person who took my phone posted pictures of mine in my own social media account pretending that I posted it with the intention of destroying my reputation.”
The leaked messages laid bare intimate details about Gomez’s relationship with his co-star, Herlene Budol, from GMA Network’s ‘Magandang Dilag,’ exposing both playful and salacious content. One particular message hinted at a pregnancy scare involving Budol.
However, the most significant revelation from the leaked messages involved a conversation with actress and beauty queen Bianca Manalo.
In the exchange, Manalo invited Gomez to her condo and mentioned that Senator Win Gatchalian, Manalo’s long-time boyfriend, was in Valenzuela.
Gomez clarified that the videos accompanying the messages were shared among friends and co-stars who were offering support during challenging times in his life.
Shaila Rebortera had previously gone public in August, revealing that she and Gomez shared a child. In her Instagram post, Rebortera accused Gomez of keeping their relationship and daughter a secret, presumably for the sake of his career, and disclosed that she was a victim of domestic violence.
Just a few weeks ago, Gomez posted a photo featuring Rebortera and their child, sparking speculation about a potential reconciliation between the two.
