Derrick Monasterio opens up about the significant impact Elle Villanueva has had on his life, sharing that her presence has led him to prioritize their relationship.
The actor revealed that since Elle came into his life, he has dedicated much of his time and effort to caring for her. “Nung dumating siya sa life ko, doon ko na talaga na-focus lahat ng oras ko. Kasi ano siya, masarap alagaan. Well, hindi naman niya hinihingi, kundi ako talaga ang nagkukusa na alagaan siya.”
Speaking about the challenges they face on the set of ‘Makiling,’ Derrick emphasized his role as Elle’s protector, ensuring her safety during intense scenes. He admitted to closely monitoring her performances and intervening when necessary, reflecting a genuine concern for her well-being.
“Naawa ako sa kanya. Lalo na kapag pauwi na kami, nakikita ko siyang umiiyak pa rin, alam kong nasaktan talaga siya, naawa ako. At ako bilang protector niya in real life, masakit sa akin `yon na makita siya sa ganung sitwasyon. Ibang klase talaga kasi ang mga eksena niya. Hindi lang basta parang high school na pambu-bully `yon, kundi puwede ka talagang makulong, o puwede kang mamatay,” Derrick shared.
