On February 6, Sparkle artists Bryce Eusebio and Princess Aliyah recounted their journey from homegrown Kapuso child stars to GMA Network’s newest love team.
At the media event for their social media serye Sparkle Tiktok Kilig Series, which LionhearTV covered, Aliyah noted how she idolized love teams when she was younger.
“Ako naman po, noong bata po ako, ang dami kong ina-idolize na love teams. And nacu-curious din po ako kung ano ‘yung feeling and kung magiging ganon din po ako. Pero, kasi noong bata po ako, hindi ko siya masyadong iniisip kasi siyempre, laro lang, tapos work-work.”
Eusebio remarked that he always dreamed of being part of an on-screen pairing.
“I was more than just imagining it. Para sa akin, pangarap ko po talaga. Kasi, dito na po ako lumaki, ‘yung mga kuya’t ate ko, nape-pair po sila sa isa’t-isa. Even ‘yung mga kaibigan ko, nalo-love team. So kumbaga, mayroon na akong idea na parang sinasabi ko sa sarili ko na ay, parang gusto kong gawin ‘yun.”
Aliyah shared her reaction to GMA Network’s plan to pair her up with Eusebio.
“Siyempre po, na-excite and at the same time, natutuwa ako kasi noong nalaman ko na ‘yung ka-love team ko is someone that I know and friends kami. So, ayan, sobrang tuwang-tuwa ako na I can work with him very comfortably.”
Eusebio thanked GMA Network for providing them with the opportunity.
“I feel very thankful doon sa management kasi alam ko hindi lahat nabibigyan ng ganitong opportunity and I know this would be a big part of our careers din. So, ayun po, we’re very grateful po sa management. Alam namin na aalagaan naman kami ng management po.”
As for their three-part-online show, the Sparkle GMA Artist Center, in partnership with Tiktok, launches the Sparkle Tiktok Kilig Series this February 8 with three love stories: Secret Notes, Beyond the Game, and Mystery Girl.
Secret Notes stars Marco Masa and Ashley Sarmiento. Their episode runs from February 8 to February 14.
Beyond the Game stars Kapuso love team Bryce Eusebio and Princess Aliyah. It lasts from February 16 to February 22.
Mystery Girl stars Allen Ansay and Sofia Pablo and streams from February 24 to 29.
