In a recent appearance on ‘Magandang Buhay,’ actress Julia Barretto tackled the ongoing rumors surrounding her relationship with fellow actor Gerald Anderson.
During the show hosted by Melai Cantiveros, Barretto was asked about the incessant speculations regarding her alleged breakup with Anderson.
Responding to the query, she expressed her perplexity, stating that she remains unsure about the origins of these rumors.
According to her, it seems that such rumors surface regularly, almost every month, for several years, without any concrete basis.
“Parang ganun ang balita, every month, for how many years na talaga. Hindi ko rin alam kung san nanggagaling but I think I’ll just take it as a compliment,” said Barretto.
She further elaborated that she interprets these rumors as a compliment because they suggest that she and Anderson have effectively maintained a private sphere in their relationship, shielding the public from the intricacies of their partnership.
“I guess, that we’re able to create that private bubble of ours na hindi lang talaga nila alam masyado kung ano yung nangyayari sa partnership namin. I think that’s also a conscious effort on our end na talagang protektahan, na hindi kailangan mag-overshare na hindi dapat bawat galaw kailangan alam ng lahat. Siguro, that’s why they think, but happy lang,” Barretto explained.
Aside from breakup rumors, inquiries about their plans for marriage have also been raised.
Barretto has previously addressed such questions by highlighting more significant issues in the world and suggesting that speculation about their marital intentions is unnecessary.
