Actress Kim Chiu has provided insight into the ups and downs of her long-term relationship with fellow actor Xian Lim, shedding light on their decision to part ways and her feelings of disappointment regarding a marriage proposal.
During a vlog session with Dra. Vicki Belo, Kim Chiu disclosed that she and Xian Lim had jointly decided to end their 11-year relationship in order to move forward separately.
Chiu candidly expressed the difficulty of coming to terms with circumstances beyond her control, citing various factors that contributed to their breakup, including unresolved questions about the future of their relationship.
Responding to Belo’s inquiry about common concerns among women regarding the direction of their relationships, Chiu admitted that while she had not directly broached the topic with Lim, it played a role in their decision to part ways.
“It’s also one of the reasons of the many reasons,” Chiu stated. “Hindi naman siya big factor pero siyempre, as we grow old, siyempre iisipin mo na rin ‘yun.”
Speculation about their relationship had been fueled by rumors suggesting that Chiu was eagerly awaiting a marriage proposal from Lim. However, despite their 11-year history together, there appeared to be no concrete plans for marriage on Lim’s part.
Amidst swirling rumors, Lim has been romantically linked with producer Iris Lee, while Chiu has recently been associated with her ‘Linlang’ co-star Paulo Avelino. Their professional collaboration extends to starring opposite each other in the Filipino adaptation of ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’
