In a recent vlog posted on Sunday, April 28, content creator Alex Gonzaga engaged in a candid conversation with her husband, Mikee Morada, discussing a challenging phase in their marriage.
Titled ‘Honest and Serious Conversation with my Husband,’ the vlog delved into the couple’s experience navigating a difficult situation and emerging stronger with the help of their faith.
While enjoying a meal together, Alex and Mikee addressed the issue, although the specific details were not disclosed. Alex described it as a significant problem, prompting Mikee to humorously shrug off her question about its gravity.
Although Alex refrained from divulging specifics, she clarified that the challenge they faced was unrelated to her previous miscarriage. Instead, she hinted that it involved a sense of betrayal and admitted to feeling uncertain about moving forward.
“Kasi, ‘yung miscarriage naman, hindi naman kasi ‘yun controlled natin. Parang it happened and then, we accepted it right away kasi alam natin na hindi natin kontrol ‘yun. What happened recently was may control tayo pero hindi natin… partly feeling ko, mali rin ako nu’n because I let you. Hindi ko… may instinct ako pero hinayaan kita,” Alex shared.
When asked by her husband about the lesson she got, Alex answered, “Hindi. Ako siguro, parang dahil first time natin na-experience ‘yung ganu’ng klaseng problema na feeling ko na-betray ako.”
Despite her doubts, Alex emphasized her commitment to their marriage, recognizing that their recent ordeal was just one of many trials they would encounter. She acknowledged the impact of the situation on their relationship, highlighting the need to confront challenges together.
“So, feeling ko, major siya, nasaktan talaga ako na feeling ko dapat… parang hindi ko alam kung paano magmu-move forward. But na-realize ko na isa pa lang ‘to, ito pa lang ang una nating hardship so, hindi ako dapat mag-give-up. Hindi tayo dapat mag-give-up,” Alex said.
Mikee, for his part, accepted responsibility for his actions and pledged to avoid similar mistakes in the future. Their open and honest dialogue in the vlog showcased their willingness to address difficulties and strengthen their marital bond.
