Several months after her breakup with Dominic Roque, actress Bea Alonzo has spoken out for the first time about their separation and the challenges she faced.
In an exclusive interview with Nelson Canlas of GMA Network, aired on ’24 Oras,’ Bea clarified that she was not the one who ended the relationship with her ex-fiancé. “Hindi ako ang nakipag-break,” she stated.
Despite this, Bea chose not to provide further details about the breakup, citing respect for their past relationship. She mentioned that she and Dominic remain on good terms. “Huwag na nating pag-usapan ‘yon. Let’s leave it in the past. It’s amicable. Okay naman kami,” she added.
Bea stressed the importance of respecting their relationship and her former partner by not discussing the breakup in depth. “I think it would be disrespectful to the relationship and to the other person to talk about it. It’s a very sensitive topic at gusto kong bigyan ng respeto at gusto kong iwan sa magandang paraan what we had,” she explained.
The actress also revealed that she was deeply affected by the false narratives that spread about her during this difficult time.
“Du’n ako pinaka… siguro, naapektuhan, kasi maraming nag-i-spread ng false narratives about my life and when you’re going through something really difficult in your life and you have other people narrating it for you in a different way, very different from the way you see it and very different from the truth, sobrang sakit niya,” she shared.
She elaborated on the pain of dealing with a personal heartbreak in the public eye, compounded by inaccurate portrayals of her situation. “Kasi, yes, it affects you because it’s one thing to go through something silently, like a very, very huge heartbreak, but it’s another thing to be going through it in front of the public nang iba ‘yung narrative,” Bea added.

It is recalled that Bea and Dominic ended their relationship earlier this year amid preparations for their wedding, which was supposed to take place this year.
