Veteran TV host Willie Revillame has announced the end of his long-running program ‘Wowowin’ and introduced his new show, ‘Wil to Win,’ during a surprise Facebook livestream on Friday, June 14.
Revillame, visibly emotional, shared his gratitude for the nearly seven-year run of ‘Wowowin’ on GMA Network.
“Salamat, Wowowin,” he said tearfully. “For almost seven years, araw-araw ko kayong kasama sa GMA. Maraming pagsubok, maraming nangyari; may luha ng kaligayahan, may luha ng hinagpis na araw-araw kong nararamdaman. Sorry, naging emosyonal ako kasi mawawala na ho kasi si ‘Wowowin.’ Magpapaalam na po ang programang ‘Wowowin.'”
The announcement comes as Revillame rebrands his social media presence in partnership with MQuest Ventures Inc., signaling his return to TV5. During the livestream, he also provided a preview of ‘Wil to Win,’ a show designed to help viewers by giving away cash prizes. The premiere episode will feature a brand-new car giveaway, though the exact air date is yet to be announced.
“Hindi po lumalaos ang programang tumutulong sa ating mga kababayan,” he emphasized, reflecting his commitment to continue supporting Filipinos through his new show.
In addition to the livestream announcement, Revillame explained the new show’s title, “Pag may Wil to Win, lahat kayang gawin!” This message underscores the show’s mission to inspire and empower viewers.
Before ‘Wil to Win’ airs its first episode, Revillame will host a ‘Grand WINference’ on June 20, where fans and media can ask questions and learn more about the show.
Revillame’s return to TV5 marks a significant milestone in his career. He previously worked with the network from 2010 to 2013 and signed a new contract with Media Quest Ventures last April, marking his exciting comeback to the Kapatid network.
