Kapamilya star Jessy Mendiola has spoken out against the disruptions surrounding the late matinee idol Rico Yan.
In an Instagram story shared on Tuesday, July 9, Jessy made a plea to the public for respect towards Rico Yan and his family.
“Wala na ba magawang matino ang mga social media addicts? Konting respeto naman sa namayapa na at pati na rin sa pamilya ng [yumao],” Jessy wrote.
She further lamented, “Susme. Lahat na lang ba para sa likes, followers and views? Nakalimutan na yata ng mga tao ang salitang ‘respeto.’ Wala nang decency.”
Rico Yan’s name recently trended on social media due to calls from some netizens to allow the actor’s soul to rest in peace.
