Ogie Diaz humbly declines comparisons to Boy Abunda, acknowledging that he still has much to learn before matching the King of Talk’s expertise.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Diaz expressed gratitude for the positive feedback on his recent interview with Kris and Bimby Aquino but requested not to be likened to the veteran host.

Former Kapamilya journalist Ian Esguerra, however, praised Diaz’s approach, replying to his tweet with a high compliment. “Sorry. Pero mas magaling ka. You don’t insert yourself and displace the subject in your interview ,” Esguerra commented.
He further explained, “Tito B’s (Boy Abunda) more performative focusing too much on himself. Mama Ogs allows the conversation to flow naturally. He’s not obtrusive. So, we, viewers, get to know more about the subject and are let in the conversation seamlessly.”
