Kapamilya star Ivana Alawi has candidly shared her struggle to move on from her role as Bubbles in the hit series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.’

In a recent interview, the actress expressed her deep attachment to the character and the show, revealing that leaving was not an easy decision.

Ivana noted that the impact of her character on viewers has been profound, with fans frequently questioning her departure. “Alam mo kahit saan ako magpunta, lahat sila isa ang tanong, ‘Bakit wala ka na?’ Kahit magpunta lang ako sa convenient store. Grabe ‘yung impact and doon ako nalulungkot kasi naalala ko na naman,” she said during an interview with ABS-CBN.

She went on to explain that her decision to leave the series was driven by other professional commitments.

“Sana po ay patuloy niyo pa rin na suportahan ang ‘Batang Quiapo.’ Everything has come to an end and ‘yung sa akin talaga is because of work. Kung wala naman talaga akong work, kaya kong gawin ‘yun ng 10 years, 20 years. I really love Bubbles and I really love Batang Quiapo,” Ivana shared.

Ivana’s character recently made her exit from the action-drama series led by Coco Martin, which has been a fan favorite.

As she steps away from ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ Ivana is taking a short break before diving into her upcoming projects. “Papahinga muna ako sandali and gagawin ko ‘yung ibang trabaho and commitments na kailangan ko kasi nagpatung-patong na siya, eh,” she explained.

The actress and social media influencer also revealed that she has new projects on the horizon, including a film and a teleserye, marking the beginning of a busy period ahead.
