In a candid conversation during a lie detector game featured on ReCreate’s YouTube channel, former couple Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia reflected on their past relationship, revealing unresolved feelings and thoughts.
The game, aired on August 4, saw Joshua asking Julia if she ever wished he had fought harder for their relationship.
Julia, in an honest response, admitted, “We want people to fight for us, so yeah.” She further explained, “I mean, it’s true. We want people that we fight for, fight for us back. So, take a hint.”
Julia also turned the tables on Joshua, asking if he regretted their relationship. Joshua responded with assurance, saying, “Hindi ko siya nire-regret. Two years ‘yon, ang tagal ‘nung relationship. Ang daming itinuro sa akin na nagamit ko sa mga sunod ko na relationship.”
The conversation took a nostalgic turn as Julia shared that her family had grown close to Joshua during their time together. She also described Joshua as a “good partner” and confessed that she missed working with him. “I do love working with Josh. We really have this special dynamic,” Julia said. “Iba ‘yung communication namin at ‘yung pagkakaintindi namin sa isa’t isa. Parang may kasama ka sa laban na ‘to, parang may ka-journey ka.”
The two actors began their romantic relationship in 2017 but eventually went their separate ways in 2019. Julia later confirmed in 2021 that she was in a relationship with actor Gerald Anderson, marking a new chapter in her personal life.
