Anticipation is building as ‘The Voice Kids Philippines’ gears up for its latest season, featuring SB19’s Pablo Nase and Stell Ajero, alongside fellow coaches Julie Anne San Jose and Billy Crawford.
Fans can look forward to an exciting dynamic among the celebrity coaches, marked by playful banter and friendly rivalry.
During a press conference on September 5, Pablo and Stell gave a glimpse of their lighthearted rapport, teasing each other about their upcoming roles as mentors for young singers. Stell playfully revealed Pablo’s strategy, saying, “Dapat i-set aside. Walang grupo-grupo dito. Unang pasok niya pa lang dito ang una niya raw pong game play ay durugin ako”
Pablo, replacing Chito Miranda as a coach this season, shared how surprised he was to be offered the role. “Nu’ng first time ko po marinig na inooffer ‘yung pagiging coach sa The Voice Kids nagulat po talaga ako kasi hindi ko siya ini-expect kasi nandito na si Stell. Pero for me, parang sobrang interested rin po ako sa kaniya kasi nasa point in life ako na gusto kong ibahagi talaga ‘yung knowledge na natutunan ko, especially sa pagpe-perform with these guys (SB19) for almost seven years na yata po.”
When asked about his approach to coaching, Pablo emphasized the importance of fostering a supportive environment for the young contestants. “Siyempre bata ‘yung tuturuan namin mahalaga na makita nila na this is a friendly environment kasi pag dating sa mga bata all positive, minsan kailangan mo ng mga criticism here and there. Pero sa stage nila, mahalaga na may nagpupush sa kanila. This is a competition. This is a small part of their journey as singers. Kailangan mapaintindi sa kanila na kahit nandito sila nagcocompete with each other, ang mahalaga ‘yung mabubuo nila na friendship, ‘yung knowledge na matutunan nila para paglabas nila ng The Voice Kids, mas maenhance nila ‘yung abilities nila.”

Meanwhile, Stell addressed the pressure of returning as a coach, especially following his victory with The Voice Generations. “I don’t feel any pressure po talaga. Mas gusto ko po siya enjoyin. I think it will be challenging for me kasi nga po it’s kids. I have experience with kids na kasi meron akong pamangkin, mga pinsan na bata pero kasi ito I’m dealing with their dreams din. Parang syempre at their young age, ayoko naman na ako rin ‘yung magiging dahilan para masira ‘yung pangarap na magkasama namin binubuo. Siguro pinatatag ng kaunti ‘yung pagkatao ko when it comes to decision-making, kasi at the end of the day this is a competition pa rin.”
As the show approaches its premiere, fans are eager to witness the dynamic exchanges between the SB19 members and their fellow coaches. The new season of ‘The Voice Kids Philippines’ premieres on September 15 on GMA Network, hosted by Dingdong Dantes.
